2008 Membership Fees –

In accordance to a resolution passed at the 2007 LSCO Annual General Meeting and Nord-Bridge Annual General Meeting, membership renewal fees will be increased to $30.00 per person ($45.00 for 2009).

Joint Centre memberships will also be available with a savings of $10.00 per person.

Parking passes for 2008 will be available for purchase. Cost is $10.00 for the entire year!

Briefly Speaking – July

 

*Now that the weather is nicer, we have had a few incidents of people panhandling in the parking lot at OUR Centre. If you are approached, or if you see someone being approached, PLEASE come back into the Centre and get a staff member- either LSCO or city staff, and we will take care of it.

 

*Watch for the annual Whoop-Up Days Events schedules for August. We are planning for a float in the parade this year. We have a coordinator of the event, but if you would like to help, please give us a call at the Centre- 320-2222.

 

*The LSCO Clever Crafters Boutique is open year round and carries a wide variety of hand made items. Please note that for the summer months, the hours will change to 8:00am – 1:00pm.

 

*Volunteers are needed for the summer months. If you have a few hours a day, a week or a month please give Marcie a call at 320-2222 extension 31.

 

*Watch for the new fall program schedule in the August issue of the Lethbridge Senior Times. Registration will take place in August 21, and some classes fill up very quickly, so be ready for registration day with your renewed membership and get ready for another great fall session at the LSCO.

 

*Due to the lack of riders, the Wednesday bus ride to the Centre has been cancelled. We hope to start it up again in the Fall, once the programs begin.

 

*The LSCO offers more than just day trips! Come in, phone or check out the newspaper “The Lethbridge Senior Times” to book your travel for Canada, USA or over seas.

 

*Remember, you can get the Lethbridge Senior Times delivered right to your door for a postage fee of $20.00. This is a great gift idea, so give the Centre a call and get it set up.

*Win your 2009 membership fee! All it takes is to fill out a survey on the future plans of the LSCO. Remember, this is a Centre for ALL its members and your input is invaluable.
